home | press dansk | english

RETHINK is an art project that thematizes climate changes through Nordic and international contemporary art. The project consists of a large art exhibition that presents works – some of them newly created – by Nordic and international contemporary artists working in the intersection of arts, climate changes, culture and technology. The Nordic Culture Fund has named the exhibition The Nordic Exhibition of the Year 2008 – 2010. RETHINK opens in Denmark on the 31st of October as a prelude to COP15, the UN climate conference, and will be presented at Statens Museum for Kunst, the Danish national gallery, Nikolaj Copenhagen Contemporary Art Centre, Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art and on the Internet. Afterwards, the exhibition will travel to the other Nordic countries to be presented at Helsingin Taidehalli in Helsinki and at Tensta Konsthall in Stockholm.

The project is run by the Alexandra Institute and is carried out in close cooperation with the National Gallery, Kunsthallen Nikolaj, Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art, Helsingin Taidehalli and Tensta Konsthall.

RETHINK is funded by the Nordic Culture Fund, the fund for promoting Denmark, the Municipality of Copenhagen, and the visual arts committee of the Danish Arts Council.

RETHINK has changed its name from IMPACT. The website is under construction. For further information about RETHINK contact: eller
